How does co-living work?

Co-living is a modern housing model where individuals rent private rooms in shared homes, enjoying communal living spaces like kitchens, living rooms, and sometimes coworking areas. It is designed to provide affordability, convenience, and a sense of community, making it popular among working professionals, digital nomads, students, and remote workers.

What’s included in the rent?

At Life Door Rentals , utilities, Wi-Fi, parking, fully furnished common areas & cleaning services (for common areas) are included!

Is there a vetting process for new members?

We have a 3 step verification process to ensure everyone in our homes is safe, clean, reliable and a good fit for the co-living home.

1. Application Submission

Prospective tenants fill out an online application with basic details, including name, contact information, and preferred move-in date.

2. Background & Credit Check

Identity Verification – Confirming government-issued IDs (driver’s license, passport, etc.).

Credit Check – Reviewing credit history and debt obligations to ensure financial reliability.

Criminal Background Check – Screening for major offenses (varies by location and co-living provider).

3. Income & Employment Verification

Many co-living operators require proof of income to confirm that tenants can afford rent. This can include:

-Recent pay stubs or employment letter

-Bank statements

-Freelancers may provide tax returns or invoices
